ETHICAL ISSUES IN RECRUITMENTS
Ethics
Corporations and individuals are increasingly competing for
new customers and expanding their markets, while individuals compete for and
keep their employment. Carroll (1996) and Ferrell, Fredrich & Ferrell
(2001) synthesized four key approaches to the philosophical concepts of ethics.
Morals are a set of beliefs and values that govern behavior and are influenced
by daily thoughts and behaviors. Because they are based on sound reasons that
explain a given behavior, philosophy of ethics can be useful tools for
decision-making in businesses.

It is concerning with screening every application by same
criteria.
When consider the Sri Lankan conditions high demand of
female employees can be observed in year 2022. The sex composition of
employment needed to is 33 to 66 percent of male to female.
To minimize the discrimination in recruitments a
comprehensive policy which cover every step of the recruitment process is
essential. Selecting procedures must be stick to the process and it is better
to keep records. If there is any need for excepting, is it clearer to records
the reasons for deviation
A business must ensure that rules apply equally to all prospect
under consideration. No application is rejected for reasons other than laid
down by rules for hiring. When the principle of hiring is not followed, a wrong
candidate may be hired.

Employees are always considered to be the most valuable asset in every corporate firm, and People Management is the most crucial function controlled by the HRM department. The major responsibility of the Human Resource Management (HRM) team is to continue to expand the organization's human capital pool in order to choose the best candidate for the job. They may also rest comfortable that no matter what position they're filling, they'll be obtaining applicants with the necessary skills and expertise to succeed.
ReplyDeleteRecruitment process comprises with ample ethical issues. Starting off from the screening process until the selection process there are certain ethical issues which comes into play. And some may be in a positive way but mostly the force will be in a negative aspect
